As Henry looks forward to his 90th year, he is still at the
height of his musical powers. His recent shows at the Lucerne
Blues Festival, Pocos & Jazz Festival in Brazil and The Sin City
Soul & Blues Revival demonstrate his still-powerful voice and spry
piano work. His sound is so pure and brilliant and is completely
unaffected by modern musical tendency. His sweet, unassuming
persona and his loving energy toward an audience are a joy to
behold.
A recent radio interview on KJZZ found Henry to be a wealth
of stories of the glory days of Chicago blues. We honor Henry
Gray as the legendary national treasure that he uniquely is.
