2006 Safeway Waterfront Blues Festival
Breaks Records PORTLAND, Oregon
- Great weather and a stellar
line-up of more than 150
performances combined to set a new
fund-raising record at 2006 Safeway
Waterfront Blues Festival, presented
by First Tech Credit Union. Blues
fans donated $545,000 at the gate at
this year's five-day festival. The
previous record, set in 2003, was
$364,000. All donations benefit
Oregon Food Bank's mission to
eliminate hunger and its root
causes.
