Greetings Blues Lovers!

This weeks E-Guide finds us green with envy.  Thousands of blues fans have just returned from the Caribbean having enjoyed 19 shows and 70 acts aboard The Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise 2006.

And in just 12 days, thousands more will be embarking with Delbert McClinton on his 12th annual Delbert & Friends Caribbean cruise. Including the winner of the Blues Festival Guide's "Win a Festival Cruise" contest, Diane Stuman of Dalton GA.  Congratulations to Diane!

Meanwhile, your friends here at The Blues Festival Guide, will be making our annual pilgrimage to Beale Street in Memphis for the 22nd International Blues Challenge, January 26-28th. Over 130 acts will play in 16 venues for two nights of semi-finals. The third day will include the "Keeping the Blues Alive Awards" and both solo/duo and band finals.

BLUES CD RELEASES
COST OF LIVING - Delbert McClinton

Grammy nominated for "Best Contemporary Blues Album". Delbert McClinton's first studio recording in 3 years contains 13 new tunes.  Sure to please all Delbert's fans.

"A time capsule so that Americans way beyond us can know what these times were really like - good and bad, exhilarating and deep-in-the-bottle frustrating - that time capsule has got to include Delbert McClinton recordings, including Cost Of Living that’s in your hands now."  -- Nat Hentoff

Cost of Living has spent 16 weeks atop the Roots Blues Music Charts. [click here to purchase from Amazon.com].

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN [Live]- Magic Slim the Teardrops

Magic Slim is the greatest living proponent of the intense, electrified, Mississippi-to Chicago blues style that spawned much of the music played by modern blues artists and rockers alike. This live recording, taped in 2005 at the Sierra Nevada Brewery, showcases Slim's slashing, vibrato-drenched guitar and mountain-moving vocals, and presents an authentic South Side, back-alley excursion into the true blues. BLUES REFLEX - Bob Brozman

Bob Brozman’s latest CD, BLUES REFLEX, is a new album of songs and compositions by Bob, featuring his deepest playing yet. A full menu of tones and timbres are provided on this all-acoustic album.

It features several National guitars, Bear Creek Hawaiian guitars, baglama, percussion and vocals by Bob, with Greg Graber on drums for 3 songs. Blending Bob's deepest blues roots with the many influences from his worldwide travels, BLUES REFLEX digs down and pays tribute to the artists and sounds that first motivated Bob towards music, while taking the music further to the edge than ever before. Delta Music Experience

In the Spring of 2005 Amanda Gresham brought people to New Orleans on a 4 day Delta Music Experience steamboat trip to take in  it's history, roots, culture, cuisine and unique music that is the life of the city. As soon as it becomes possible, DME will once again cruise the mighty Mississippi on a Riverboat Adventure from New Orleans.

Until then, Gresham is pleased to be expanding her market and will bring New Orleans to you by way of presenting the Delta Music Experience NOLA Northwest aboard the American West Steamboat Company's sternwheeler, Queen of the West. This magical riverboat adventure offers the opportunity to cruise with your favorite and soon to be favorite New Orleans musicians. You'll experience an intimate adventure full of performances, spontaneous jams, discussion groups, workshops, personal stories from these amazing musicians, autograph signings and shore excursions.   Visit www.deltamusicexperience.com or call 504-524-2583
